LAST TIME I CHECKED, THE FIRST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OF OCTOBER ARE 6TH AND 7TH. I MAY NOT BE RIGHT, BUT YOU'RE GONNA MISS A NUMBER OF PEOPLE (INCLUDING ME) HAVING IT ON THOSE DATES. :(
 
I don't have a horse in this race but would it be possible to push back the Fun Run until October 13-15th for all the folks who are going to Cumberland.? I can and will attend either weekend if I don't get pit passes for Dover the weekend before as I hopefully will be taking my grandson.there for his first time in the garages and pits.

So are these the final dates!! :idiot2: makes planning to attend a little difficult......

The final dates are Oct. 6,7,8. Rob, Mike and myself all have conflicts the next week. As always, there is never a date that works for everyone. We do try to keep it the same weekend every year to help with planning. The venues for our cruises are being finalized, Rob has secured a good deal with the hotel, and we are looking forward to another great "Fun Run". O0
 
OK folks I know some of you have conflicts with the dates. But we need to get a list of attendees going please.

If you are coming or just thinking about coming, book your hotel rooms this week. After that the prices may go up dramatically.
 
Doctor visit yesterday wasn't full of good news as far as making it to Rehoboth this year. Due to small fracture of the femur he discovered during surgery put another 4 weeks on the "no car trips over 30 minutes" list of "don't do's" during recovery. He was very stern and stressed that I use the walker with every step I take for 4 more weeks too. But, good news is X-ray shows everything is in good shape, and every bit of pain I had in my hip, knee, and lower back is gone. So, trading some fun for a better outcome seems pretty fair O0 Here's to good weather and tons of fun for you guys and gals :cheers:
 
Hector and I are planning on leaving Friday morning and would welcome any of the "western shore " people to join us on a caravan up to Rehoboth. We have not picked a departure time or meeting place so chime in with your suggestions and we will try to accommodate everyone. I am guessing that Dan Dietz will meet us near Annapolis.and he can choose the time and place to join us.based on our departure time from the DC area.
 
Not sure just yet Larry. About meeting up that is, sounds like a plan

Booked the room arriving Wednesday to do some private crap. I said I was with the Capital Area Cobra Club and they quoted 118 a night rate for weekday, be sure you check the rate they charge, she corrected the rate when I told her what the Club Rate was.
 
Sandy and I met up with Phil and Tonyea today and we ran the Friday cruise route. It will be a nice cruise into Selbyville/West Ocean City where we'll have lunch at The Harbor Side. From there, we'll cruise into Ocean City and mix it up a bit as we cruise through town for Hot Rod weekend. Up to Indian River inlet for a refreshment and back to the hotel for the Circling of Lawnchairs in the parking lot. We have Po'Boys food truck lined up again. So, get ready for some Gumbo, Jambalaya and warm Bug Nuts! Errr...Beignets! I meant Beignets!::)
