2019 Christmas Party

It is that time of year to think about where we are going to have the Christmas Party. A few approached me last year and volunteered to host. It is time to step forward.

How many usually attend?

And, how close to Christmas do you usually host the event?

And, these questions do not 'necessarily' translate into 'stepping forward'.

And, besides, isn't party planning woman's work?

No party planning is not women's work I'm embarrassed that you even said that.
Loading the car on the trailer is women's work and I love her for.

Frank,
If you are still up for a bunch of us invading your home, please give me a call. 703-209-0267

Doesn't look like will get 50 people again, so Ft Myer is out :coolsmiley:

No one belongs to a Neighborhood association or gulf club?

We looked into Westwood Country Club in Vienna, Too pricey. o_O

My community has a nice Clubhouse we can rent for like $50 an hour with 4 hour minimum (cheeper in weekdays) but it’s far from most of you guys and I feel like having a private space in a Restaurant maybe a cheeper and include food?

Same for me. They do have a grill, so food wouldn't be a problem. Interested in making the trek up here?

Sorry, late as always to the party.

We can't have it at my place ... remodeling the kitchen (mostly done) and family room, so, no room. Unless you guys want to party in the bedrooms.

But, I do live in Ashburn Village and can check to see how much one of their halls run per hour.

I kinda, however, like the idea of reserving some space at one of the many fine local joints in Vienna. Anyone been to Rocco's? Or, rumor has it the Mexican joint in Great Falls has good eats.

And, personally, I think Country Clubs will always been outside a comfortable price point.

I'll have my wife check out the pricing here in Ashburn (e.g. women's work) on Wednesday just to get an additional data point for us to consider.

Have a swell week everyone.

Frank

My two cents: keep it close to the beltway, restaurants are hard to do unless they offer buffets and private room, bring a dish is fine at clubhouses and Ft Myer requires 50 people.

Maybe we can rent out the Vienna Inn or Brogue! Brogue has a back room and maybe we could arrange food choices in advance to expedite prep/eating.

Brogue sounds like the best option or Kilroy's in Springfield. Who would be crazy enough to have 30 CACC members take over their house?

Sorry Prez, I live too far away to participate and come up with some ideas for you. I probably won't make it this year. :(

Scott,, maybe check out " PIERO'S CORNER, small place off of the parkway... 13340 Franklin Farm Rd, Herndon... Just a thought

Christmas party will be at our house! More details to come shortly.
