3D Printer

I'm currently building a replacement for my 3D printer and so it'll soon be going up on CL but I figured I'd first check if anyone here would be interested.
It started life as a lowly Ender 3 but I modded it way beyond that..

I'll probably put it up on CL for 300 so maybe 200 here?...I think new Enders are around that without all the extras...

any kind of auto bed leveling foo? Is it a 12*12*12 print volume? I built a DIY printer a few years ago and the bed leveling has been a pain in my balls. I hate to love it (love to hate it), but for a more "appliance type" experience I would toss it (or re-purpose for an autonomous gun mount)

The BL-Touch provides auto bed leveling and it's always worked well for me. I occasionally have to clean the probe with some alcohol as I use hair spray for adhesion on the glass bed. The Ender 3 build volume is 220 x 220 x 250 mm...but a bit less on this one due to direct drive conversion...

I've found lots uses for it, pullies for my broken lawn mower (nylon), missing window crank cover (wood), interior pieces for the GT6, prototypes for the Cobra header flanges, and a ton of stuff for our reef tank....even was able to help out during the covid relief printing stuff for the local hospital and clinics... It's been fun and more than paid for itself.....

Joe, I'll treat myself as a fathers day present and take it off your hands! My DIY 3d printer was a fun project, but it is far from "set & forget" and I only trust it to self combust or self destruct whenever I take my eyes off of it!
Want to meet for a beer/breakfast at the VI to transact?
cheers!
tim

I just bought a pit minibike and need to fab some spacers to install a torque converter, maybe I need to 3d print them?

Sure, happy to send it off for new adventures. We can certainly meet at the VI or wherever's convenient. However it's currently printing the 100+ ABS parts for my new Voron. Should be finished sometime this week. ...If you want print spacers you'll probably want get a spool of nylon or similar....

Apologies Tim!...no, that Voron was a beast to build compared to the E3...and then life just sort of got in the way (tdys, weddings, vacation,...).....its done, just haven't had time to tune it...got another tdy next week as well so probably be at least another week gone.....no problem if you decide to move on, just let me know...

Ha! Life goes on Joe, but I'd still like to take if off your hands! I'm leaving to see my dad in Ottawa for a few days, so let's grab breakfast/drinks mid Oct and transact!

How about before first snowfall Joe?? Grab beers at the VI after the election (I'm working as an EO so Mon/Tues is shot for me)-
