Assetto Corsa?

Anyone here doing any sim racing, specifically Assetto Corsa? With the recent Fanatec CSL deal I decided to dip my toe into the sim waters and figured I check if anyone on CACC had done the same, or were an old pro at it already. I didn't do a full-on cockpit rig due to space limitations and needing something I could move easily (lol, it weighs a half ton, so maybe not that easy to move)....

Joe, I can put you in touch with my son, Sam. He does a lot of Sim racing and has a very cool setup. He uses the AEO boys server exclusively
 
When I was contracting at Google I used to use their sim rig about twice a week to play Assetto Corsa... I wish I still had access to that ;D. I guess you already got a wheel stand, but I'd say the Playseat Challenge is one of the better "portable" ways to setup a sim.

Looked at those but I wanted to use my existing theater setup since it already had the gaming rig, 4k, big screen, and butt-kicker seats. Of course after trying with VR, I don't think I'll use the projector/screen setup. It's way more a immersive with the headset...
 
Well it's been about nine months since the OP and my rig morphed into a "slightly larger" project,... and like the Cobra, The Queen is thrilled with my new endeavor.;)

I played a little bit with DCS but it takes considerable time and dedication to learn an aircraft (e.g. the A-10C manual is almost 700 pages!)....maybe when I get the motion part working it'll become more competitive for my sim-time!....

Just an update to an old thread. The rig has gone through a few changes and has new home with more space!
