This is week nine for us, due to the surgery we have been 100% isolated (or in the hospital) since Feb 26. The place for cardiac rehab is closed so I have been working out at home, riding the Peloton and recently started lifting weights. The grandkids come over and I watch them play in the backyard and talk through the sliding door, which is a bit tough as they want to hug grandpa, pulls at my heart. Barb and I have been driving the backroads taking photos, have a few excellent photos of Tom Turkeys strutting their stuff.

Other than that I am more than ready to go back to work.

Going good at the Smith/Unger house. I converted Dad's Zephyr to a manual transmission. It might make a sweet track day car now.

Busier at work than I've ever been, alcohol consumption is also at a local maxima. Had four trees come down in a microburst a couple of weeks ago, mainly cleaned up, half split & stacked for firewood. Put a new engine on the log splitter, finished a couple of small hobby projects (optics), and FINALLY put a deposit on my new garage. UV-C lamps in both furnaces now, made an ozone sterilizer system for "de-coronavirusing" things we buy, bodged a tri-fuel carb onto the generator so it will run off propane or gas, everything we own with an internal combustion engine is tuned up and ready for summer.

We are DONE with this quarantine though. I think it's time to drag our economy out of the ditch and get it on the road again. The first bartender that serves me is going to get one hell of a tip!

Acquired the mixers (bitters, syrups, garnishes) to make an Old Fashioned. Trying different recipes. Been drinking these quite a bit.
The cobra was inspected last week, gassed up, and ready to go.

What's your favorite so far? I'm really enjoying the maple OF. Orange twist is required, though!

Never tried an Old Fashion. My go to is a Manhattan. Whipped one up the other night using Woodford Double Oak. Tasty!

Life is quiet over here. Mother nature is trying to overrun my house. A male and female fox moved in under the neighbors shed adjacent to our house.
Well they got to fooling around and now there are eight of them.

No traffic in the middle of the day. I get to the ramp and think I can let it go a little bit. I get to the end of the ramp and the State Police are right there, I think he enjoyed following me down the road doin' 55.

As for keeping busy, the yard has gotten attention and I have been practicing butt welding sheet aluminum to continue the insane idea I will build and aluminum body for the GT. The other part is bending aluminum, I have started a second aluminum hood and continue to practice on the first one.

Should look close to this when finished. That is tape running down the center of the hood.

Well, I’m doing fairly well down here in the darkest country of southern Maryland in the people’s republic.
reorganized my storage unit and apartment, fixed the exhaust manifold on the truck, The minor coolant leak in the cobra has progressed over the last year at the water pump now needs addressing.
Hope all is still well! Stay safe.
