Members with 0 posts will be purged! (NOTE DATE OF THIS THREAD!)

I joined the site about 1 week ago and this will be my first post. I'm located in Wilmington, De  so won't make to many of the Washington area meetings. I will try to make any meetings halfway close. I have a CRII with a 302 motor. As I get used to the site I will post some pics.

You have company up there, Karl Muller lives north of you.. :coolsmiley:

Feel free to delete my account " what a ridiculous statement
It's a forum. There are many reasons a person may choose
Not to post. But because you feel that posts are mandatory
So be it.

Really get control of yourself and think before you speak....
Good luck with your forum,, like you actually have the ability
To dictate others actions. Comical at the very least!!!

Well, now that you have a post, it doesn't have to be deleted! Whew!!

(BTW, it's a common practice among many forums to purge non-active members. Not worth getting all huffy puffy about it)

Eric, the post you replied to (your first post to this forum) was started twelve years ago. Getting your ass up on your shoulders over it and welcoming being deleted will not cause anyone here to have pity on you. In fact, because you didn't even introduce yourself to the membership only increases the likeliness that you will not be missed. Think of it this way; you didn't really join this group in the first place, so being deleted shouldn't cause you such grief that you had to post your displeasure. And I might add; that from the tone of your post, you probably wouldn't have fit in with this group anyway.

This reminds me of Rule 2.4 of the 24 Hours of LeMons racing series:

2.4: Whiner Eligibility. Whiners are not eligible to compete. If you believe that you might be a whiner, please check with a domestic partner, guardian, or health-care professional before getting the rest of your team kicked the hell out of the race.

Good rule.

This guy either has something to hide or is afraid of being held accountable for his posts. Here is what he replied to me when he registered and I requested his real name and location information: (emphasis is mine)

I would prefer no real name " in full simply Eric would be fine
and just be listed in Gaithersburg.

I am not a big fan of public information on the web "

Just bought a great 460 Everitt Morrison " should be here tonight or tomorrow .

You may put my information listed below in a private file for internal use.
but not public...

Thank you "

This is a pretty tight knit group. One where a great number of our members actually know each other personally.....from hanging out at events, parties, racing, breakfast, or drinking around a dumpster somewhere. You're missing the point if you view this medium as just "a forum". That's not the true intent. It's a place for our members to hang out and chat, share pictures, stories, or bust each other's balls when we're not able to sit around that dumpster to do the same. The intent of the 0-post purge was to encourage people to introduce themselves, join in, contribute, participate, maybe even do something dumb and get a nickname!

Yes, there may be reasons why a person may choose to register here, yet never post. However, most of the ones that come to mind are bad ones. If you never intended to post, why go through the trouble of registering?

Just got onto the forum today. 95% complete on the car. VIN installed last week, now the mech. inspection is next. Hopefully in about a week or so.

I will be purging all zero post members by the end of July. That should give everyone plenty of time to speak up and say something. One post is all it takes! In fact, go ahead and reply to this thread. Just say something about yourself. Tell us all why you're such a recluse.

Anyone have a problem with this happening, let me know.
