Looking at the weather, it may be better if we start later than usual. the latter part of the day looks drier. Does that present problems?

Hector and I reconned the cruise route today. We will be hitting some of our previous stops but have added a Drive-by
along the Potomac on Wharf St. This is a new development with bars and restaurants lining the waterfront.
The maps are below. I strongly suggest you review the route ahead of time and put the way-points and stops on your GPS.
Inevitably we will get separated on the DC streets, and you may not be able to just follow the car in front of you.
I will not be distributing maps or directions.

The schedule is as follows:

10 am-depart Cooper School, Balls Hill Rd, Mc Lean VA
~10:30 am-Arrive Tidal Basin Paddle Boat Parking Lot
~10:45 am-Cruise along Wharf Street SW
~11:00 am-Arrive Capitol West Parking lot, 300 Pa. Ave NW
~11:15 am-Depart Capitol Parking lot
~11:15-11:45 Drive along Constitution Ave-Virginia Ave-Rock Creek Parkway-Beach Drive
~11:45 am-Arrive at Rock Creek Park Grove @ 3900 Shoemaker St. NW (near Peirce Mill)
~12:00 am-Depart Rock Creek Park Grove
~12:20 pm-Return along Rock Creek Parkway, Cross Roosevelt Bridge to I 66 to I 495
~12:45 pm-Arrive Kilroys, 5250a Port Royal Rd, Springfield, VA 22151

Scott, the route looks great. I'd like to make one suggestion re; Peirce Mill stop.

We usually end up parked along the right curb with our cars heading towards Tilden St (red line). Many of us turn left off Tilden onto Shoemaker St and then we have 25 cobras trying to make a U-turn in the area of the green box. It is a lot easier to go past Shoemaker and then turn left onto Spring of Freedom St and drive down to the curb parking.
