Track Attack is a unique beginner-level driving experience designed to familiarize you with our road course and introduce you to basic high performance driving concepts and techniques. It includes a drivers meeting, classroom instruction by a professional driving coach, and 3 - 15min on-track paced-lap sessions in your car at highway speeds. Track Attack is for those who just want to experience what it's like to drive on a real road course racetrack. Since tech inspections and helmets are not required, the laps are paced and there is no passing. Between driving sessions, instructors will be available to answer any questions you have and provide performance driving tips.
Tentative Schedule:
  • 12:15 PM Check-In Opens (check-in early to avoid last-minute lines)
  • 12:50 PM Check-In Closes (please arrive on-site no later than 4:30 PM)
  • 1:00 PM Drivers Meeting & Classroom Session
  • 1:30 PM On-Track Sessions
  • 2:45 PM Event Ends
Track Attack is a safe, constructive, and fun experience that only costs $99. No helmet is required and almost any street legal car, truck, or SUV can be used - rain or shine! Registration is limited to 20 cars per event, so please sign up ASAP.

This would be something that Carson and I would be interested in. The only thing is that driving a cobra in February would be a bit cold.

Not Feb! October weekends, 2/3 or 16/17 or 23/24. If we go as a group, we would need to pick a date. Saturdays start noonish and Sundays start 4ish. If your interested, provide your date preferences.

Not a bad event for those who have not had their Cobra on a track. For $100, its worth the trip just for getting a group together..

A Saturday event could be followed by an early dinner and drinks somewhere nearby. Maybe we could even get Ed Hunter to arrange something.

I’ve done that with the Daytona a couple of weeks ago, it was organized by the Dominion Lux Garage Condo.
Lot of fun!

Looks like Dominion might have a schedule conflict with 16 Oct. Will know next week if its available or if we have to pick a different Saturday. If your interested in event, please respond!!! If we don't get more takers, we will cancel. Also looking at meal after event in Fredericksburg.

I'm interested, but it depends on if I get the Porsche back. That should be a great test and tune.

I'm in. Need to change my email for the forum. I don't check this email on a regular.

Looks like little interest in planning group event. Maybe i'll try again in spring.

If anyone goes on their own, please post your experience.

Did anyone go? I hope it was better than the last time the club did some casual laps on the road course and someone spun out in a turn which caused me to take evasive action.

No!! Maybe we can go in spring. By that time, folks can can get some good tires.
