Windshield Broke

Thx. I saw Fast Freddies and it looks good. He wants 600. I think I can get a sheet and cut it myself for 200.

Pete, I can't recall which brand of Cobra you have, but many have somewhat different sizes. You should contact the manufacturer of your Cobra for a template, or use your old one.

So update
I did it! it cost me 240 with shipping and 15 bucks for a blade to use in my jigsaw. Easy
Happy to do it for anyone in the club.
First time out and a rock smaked the lexan HARD! If it was glass I'm sure it would have cracked "again " on the first outing. Just a small chip? in the lexan. Im very happy with it.

I have been holding off on the replacement of my cracked windshield as I was waiting to hear how successful you were with your replacement. Happy to hear it went well. I would like to know more about where you bought the Lexan and the saw blade.

Thanks, I just ordered the same. I look forward to not looking through the cracked glass.

Thanks for the help. I cut the Lexan and installed the new window today. It worked great.

So the 1/4 inch thickness worked out OK? I 'think' Fred's is 3/16 which caused a bit of flex for some.

The exact measurement is .236 inches which is exactly what was removed from my Backdraft. The Lexan fit snugly into the rubber seal. Any thinner and I would think it would be too thin for the rubber seal and be too flexible. Any thicker and it would be difficult to bend into place.
